The Merit and Dispensation Committee
The Merit and Dispensation Committee is a committee organised under the Study Board. The committee consists of one full time research employee and one student who evaluate and determine dispensation and merit cases which require professional prerequisites. A study administrative employee, who is typically responsible for determining the merit cases, is attached to the committee as a secretary. Furthermore, the study administrative employees who have processed the dispensation and merit cases will participate in the meeting wherein the case is determined.
The Merit and Dispensation Committee process the majority of cases by hearings. However, if the cases are of a principal nature or the caseworker accesses that the case should be determined in the committee, the committee will hear the case in the forthcoming meeting. The Merit and Dispensation Committee meets quarterly.
If the determination of the Merit and Dispensation Committee has serious consequences for the individual student, the case will also be heard in the Study Board.
