Summer Schools
You can find information about summer school courses at the Department of Political Science (DPS), University of Copenhagen (UCPH) in the course catalogue.
The summer school courses are offered between July 1 to September 1. All courses take place on our campus in the heart of central Copenhagen.
Summer schools are planned as intensive courses
Please note that our summer courses are offered as intensive courses, so you are expected to have read the literature before the start of the course, and you must expect to have work at home during the course.
You can apply in two ways:
- Either as a credit student, if you are studying at another department than Department of Political Science. You can read more about the criteria for becoming a credit student at Department of Political Science and submit your application within the registration period.
- Or through Open University if you are unable to obtain pre-approval from your study programme or if you are not studying at a Danish university. You can read more about Open University at Department of Political Science and submit your application within the registration period.
The application round opens 1 April - deadline 1 June.
Places are allocated on a first-come-served basis. The application form will be available during the application round.
If you are studying on a study programme at Department of Political Science, you must apply for a place on the course in the teaching registration periods via self service. Please see the dates of the registration periods your study information pages.
Yes, you can cancel your enrolment until 1 July at the latest.
If you cancel later than 1 July you will not get a refund and you will lose one exam attempt. You cancel your enrolment by sending an email to: summerschools@ifs.ku.dk.
Yes. You must pay tuition fee - except if you are enrolled in a Danish University and have a preapproval for credit transfer.
The prize for Danish citizens, EU/EEA-citizens and foreign nationals holding, as a minimum, a temporary stay permit granted for permanent stay is DKK 800 per ECTS point.
