Change of shift at the Centre for Military Studies

Since 1 May 2016, Katja Lindskov Jacobsen has been employed as a senior researcher at the Centre for Military Studies (CMS). Now she continues as acting head of the centre - and the outgoing head is very pleased:

‘Katja is a super talented researcher with great impact. Her knowledge is in high demand among CMS' stakeholders, both in Denmark and internationally. She is the right person to look after CMS‘ interests and lead the centre until a new head of centre is found,’ says Kristian Søby Kristensen, who has led CMS since October 2022.

Relevant as never before

The Centre for Military Studies is part of the Department of Political Science. Head of Department Nina Græger believes that with the current security challenges facing European societies and the ongoing attacks on international institutions, there is a greater need than ever for the kind of rigorous and topical research based analyses that CMS provides.

‘And I am confident that Katja will be a great interim leader for the centre in the coming months, with her long-standing CMS experience, research profile and extensive Danish and international stakeholder network,’ says Nina Græger.

She also believes that Kristian Søby Kristensen leaves CMS in good shape.

‘I would like to thank him for his valuable contribution and for our very good collaboration,’ she concludes.
