Public Administration and Policy
Members of the group carry out research in public governance, management and administration as well as in policy-making. The group also covers general organisational themes such as leadership, ethics, risk management and communication. We focus on policy-making and administration at several analytical levels - all the way to street level bureaucrats and citizens. We are particularly interested in the interplay between organization and policy/politics.
Our paradigmatic and methodological approaches are characterized by pluralism.
Members of the group participate regularly in international conferences and networks such as NOPSA, EGPA, EES, AEA, ECPR, SOG, MPSA, and APSA.
The research group in Public Administration and Policy creates a living interplay between research and teaching.
Our teaching comprises public administration at the Bachelor program in Political Science as well as a specialization in public management and organization in the Graduate program and other elective courses. The group is strongly involved in the MPG program and in Security Risk Management.
