Crisis of liberal democracy

Activity: Talk or presentation typesLecture and oral contribution

Regitze Helene Rohlfing Frederiksen - Invited speaker

The world is experiencing a global democratic recession. The decline is taking place in new as well as established democracies. Liberal democracy, which seemed to be triumphant throughout the 1990s, is under increasing pressure from both external and internal threats. In this seminar, a number of Danish scholars take a closer look at the crisis of democracy. Along the way we will visit Italy, Brazil, Hungary and Poland.
