Winter is coming: Leading the economy in a time of crisis

Tomorrow talk billedet

Inflation is rising, energy prices are sky high, consumer confidence is at its lowest level in 48 years, and Danmarks Nationalbank predicts that the economy will go into recession next year.

We are facing a time of economic crisis. But how do you lead the economy through such a crisis?

Hear Danmarks Nationalbank's Governor Signe Krogstrup talk to Associate Dean for Education Sara Hagemann about what financial tools are at hand when prices rise, and the economy goes into reverse gear.

Signe Krogstrup has a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Copenhagen, a PhD in International Economics from Geneva, and was, among other things, Deputy Director of Switzerland's central bank and adviser to the International Monetary Fund before she became Governor of Danmarks Nationalbank in 2019.

TOMORROW TALKS is a series of events at The Faculty of Social Sciences zooming in on the challenges of our time and how social sciences can contribute to solving them. Sara Hagemann is Associate Dean for education at the Faculty of Social Sciences. She holds a professorship in Political Science, has previously been part of the management at London School of Economics, and has advised political decisionmakers as an expert on EU-issues.
