Assistant professor

Current research

I am conducting research and teaching on links between domestic political developments in China and Chinese foreign and security policy. In particular I focus on China's foreign and security policy conduct in East Asia (what are the drivers behind?). Furthermore I have smaller projects on North Korea and the implications of the developments on the Korean Peninsula for developments in the security situation in East Asia and a project on developments in the security situation in the Taiwan Strait, specifically how it is driven by domestic changes in China and on Taiwan.

Most recently I have also initiated a bigger project on China's presence, interests and strategy in the Arctic in particular focusing on China's interests in Greenland and the implications hereof for Danish China-policy.
